My second tangle for this fun Challenge
Inktober is an online event where artists all over the world challenge themselves by doing one ink drawing a day the entire month.

How I did my tangle for Day 2

I’m doing the Challenge in a small watercolour sketchbook I purchased from my local “Dollars and Sense” shop for $2.00. It’s 5 x 7 inches so I’m doing two daily tangles to a page. It’s not top quality paper but perfect for quick spontaneous artworks.
I painted a round puddle of watercolours using yellow and orange and the green and blues from my other puddle bled into it for a happy accident!

When the puddle of watercolour was dry, I began tangling using the tangle pattern chosen for us for Day 2 which is “TunnelVizion”. You can see the steps for how to draw this tangle at Tanglepatterns.com.

I really wanted to keep the bright yellow middle section plain without any tangles to add a focal point and it worked well. To add more depth to the design I added shading to the cone shapes to make them look slightly 3D.

I hope you enjoyed seeing my process and I’ll be continuing to share my daily tangles with you throughout the Inktober Tangles 2019 Challenge. If you love to colour and tangle why not do the Challenge yourself? To find out more visit the Group on Facebook.
