My fourth tangle for this fun Challenge
Inktober is an online event where artists all over the world challenge themselves by doing one ink drawing a day the entire month.

How I did my tangle for Day 3

I got so caught up in the complexity of this tangle called “Zonked” that I completely forgot to show you my earlier stages of measuring out the squares and working out the complicated repeat which I found difficult. You can see the steps & variations for how to draw this tangle by Barbara Finwall at www.tanglepatterns.com.
I’ve made a few mistakes in this one and it was not as enjoyable for me due to the more geometric and mathematical nature of this tangle pattern which hinders the spontaneity of the art process but I battled on and am pleased with it despite a few flaws. I added white dots and highlights to enhance the overall design which looks like an elephant next to the previous day’s tangle.
I hope you enjoyed seeing my process and I’ll be continuing to share my daily tangles with you throughout the Inktober Tangles 2019 Challenge. If you love to colour and tangle why not do the Challenge yourself? To find out more visit the Group on Facebook.
